The Gateway Centre is adjacent to the Derbyshire County Cricket Club ground and is located to the east of the city close to the A52 trunk road from Nottingham – Derby (10 minutes from M1 Junction 25). A map is shown below.
1. From the South and East go to M1 Junction 25 – take the exit signposted “A52 Derby.” After about 7 miles you approach a large roundabout (called "Pentagon Island") and flyover which is the intersection with the A61.* Take the slip road marked “City Centre and A61.” At the roundabout, take the fourth exit on the left (almost going back on yourself) signposted “Chaddesden.” ** This is Nottingham Road. Immediately after the first set of pedestrian lights, take a left into “St Marks Road.” Then take the third turn on the left into “Grandstand Road” opposite “Wilcock House.” The Gateway Centre is straight ahead at the end of this short road. At the gates, turn right for the customers car park, turn left if you are staff, stallholder, or disabled.
2. From the North – leave M1 at Junction 28 and follow signposts “A38 Derby.” At the roundabout junction with the A61 take the exit signposted “A61 Derby.” Eventually you pass the cricket ground on your left hand side and approach a large roundabout which is the junction with the A52, Take the exit signposted “Chaddesden” and follow Route 1 from **.
3. From the West – from the A50 take the A6 exit towards Derby. At the second roundabout take the A5111 Ring Road north. Follow signs for City Centre and Matlock (A6) which takes you onto the A52 – then follow Route 1 from *.
4. From the Railway Station – either take a taxi or proceed by foot towards the town centre along “Siddalls Road.” Turn right at The Cock Pitt and continue into St Edmunds Way, cross river, bear right and head towards overpass (A52), go left under the overpass, turn right and take Nottingham Road and follow Route 1 from **.
